WELCOME

I have spaces available for violin and piano students of all ages and abilities – from beginners upwards.

Lessons are generally 30 minutes in length for beginners up to Grade V if you only wish to have practical tuition. This can be increased to 45 minutes if you also want to learn theory as well. This is particularly useful if you do want to progress to the higher grades as it is a requirement of the Royal Schools of Music Examining Board that you have Grade V theory before you take any practical exam of Grade VI and above.

As you reach the higher grades then lessons need to be longer to cover all the material and so an hour is necessary.

Term dates for the academic year 2009/10 are as follows:

Autumn Term:
Monday 7 September 2009 until Friday 18 December 2009
Half term 26 October - 30 October 2009

Spring Term:
Tuesday 5 January 2010 until Thursday 1 April 2010
Half term 15 February - 19 February 2010

Summer Term:
Monday 19 April 2010 until Friday 23 July 2010
Half term 31 May – 4 June 2010
